Aspiring young designers are invited to compete in the annual National Young Designer Awards which will be held during this year’s Golden Slipper Festival.

Designers are asked to submit a garment representing quintessential Australian Racewear.

Twenty finalists will compete in the heats on Myer Sydney Confidential Ladies’ Day at Canterbury Park on Saturday, 5 April in front of a crowd of 10,000 racing and fashion enthusiasts. The final will be staged on AAMI Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, 19 April.

The fabulous prize package will help launch the career of our winning designer. It includes:

·         $2,000 Myer gift voucher

·         Myer in-store installation of the winning garment

·         2 weeks work experience at a Myer fashion show

·         A BMW for the weekend with two nights accommodation at the Diamant Boutique Hotel, Kings Cross

·         2 x VIP tickets to the feature fashion events of the 2009 Golden Slipper Festival

·         Position as an official judge for all fashion events during the 2009 Golden Slipper Festival

·         Profile in Trackside magazine, distributed to 7,000 members and sponsors of Sydney Turf Club.
